  • Just heard the Eyes Closed song by Imagine Dragons for the first time. Really like it.

  • Decided to start watching the MCU movies that I never saw over the years. I’ve probably seen about half of them. Since Disney Plus has them all, I figured it couldn’t hurt to check out the ones I missed. And since Disney Plus has them in timeline order, I started at the beginning and started working through them. Here is a list of what I’ve watched over the last few weeks:

    Thor
    Avengers
    Thor the Dark World
    Captain America the Winter Soldier
    Avengers Age of Ultron
    Ant-Man
    Ant-Man and The Wasp
    Eternals

I didn’t revisit any of the movies I’ve already seen, and maybe that was a mistake because there are references made of some of the other movies that I couldn’t quite remember some of the situations. Either way, I enjoyed them. Surprised I haven’t seen most of these until now.

Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp ended up being some of my favorites because the terrible jokes in the movies are my kind of humor. Especially the running gag with the magic tricks in the second Ant-Man movie. Plus anything with Jimmy Woo in it is always a win in my book.

  • New roller coaster testing! Check out this video from Amusement Insider. Hiccup’s Wing Gliders looks like it will be a fun coaster. The more I see of this new park, the more I want to check it out someday.

  • I’m a big fan of roller coasters, and one of the coasters from my childhood that I still love to this day is the one named Roller Coaster at Lagoon Park in Farmington, Utah. I also enjoy listening to a podcast called Once Upon a Coaster that focuses on old coasters or coasters that are no longer operating. It’s great. If you haven’t checked it out, I encourage you to do so.

They have a podcast coming up that will discuss Roller Coaster at Lagoon Park. I listened to the early access episode on their Buy Me a Coffee page. The episode is good and touches upon a lot of info about the coaster and the park. I’ll have to share the episode when it goes live because it is a good one.

I bring this up because it brought back a bunch of memories. Lagoon is my home park. I’ve lived near it for most of my life. I worked there for many years when I was a teenager into early adult. I ran a fan site called Lagoon Is Fun for many years after until life got to the point where I didn’t really have the time anymore. However, the podcast made me have that itch again for following what is going on at Lagoon. It will probably only last for tonight, but it was a little nostalgic to have it back since I spent many years working, following, and going to the park.

Just wanted to share with everyone. Have a great night!

  • Super excited. My wife and I moved to a new place in Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake has Google Fiber. I’ve been an Xfinity customer for years, and I always wanted something better. Now I have it, and I couldn’t be happier. Half the cost and five times the speed that I got at the old place.

  • I just saw this over on Twitter, and I thought to myself that Thundersnow sounds like a pretty good name for a rock band or something. I laughed about it and then decided to look and see if thre was a group called that already. Turns out the answer is yes. I found their YouTube Music page: https://music.youtube.com/channel/UCtchN7rgzFoeIDRXtIRgTDw?si=Lz5JTgAXK00IQA2m

They have a handful of songs on their, and I decided to give some a listen. The music style of the songs I tried out reminded me of the music on the NES game Maniac Mansion. I remember playing that game when I was younger and being obsessed with it.

I will say I think Thundersnow needs to be a little more hard rock with a name like that. Maybe someday, but I thought it was amusing and had to share.

I work in retail. My store sells mouse pads.

I have to try something like this. It would be so worth it.

  • I decided to have some fun at work recently. I work in retail, and we use spider wraps to secure some of our products. You have probably seen these even if you don’t work in retail. You may have purchased something where the cashier has to remove the security device before you can take it home.

The specific style I deal with at my work looks like this:

Well, I’ve made this joke off and on while working in retail that I think of a rapping spider when referring to spider wraps. I made the joke again when we were using them for some new product we got, and I suddenly realized with all the image generators that have become popular recently, that I could probably create an image of a spider rapping.

After a few attempts with the prompts, I ended up with an image that brought delight to my eyes. I then added the words “Spider Raps” and created a sign to put on the plastic bin we store them in. I can’t wait to see the reactions to my coworkers as they see this when going to grab a spider wrap or put one away. I can’t wait.

I now share the image with you. If you work in retail, feel free to borrow this for a good laugh at your store as well.
