  • I just saw this over on Twitter, and I thought to myself that Thundersnow sounds like a pretty good name for a rock band or something. I laughed about it and then decided to look and see if thre was a group called that already. Turns out the answer is yes. I found their YouTube Music page: https://music.youtube.com/channel/UCtchN7rgzFoeIDRXtIRgTDw?si=Lz5JTgAXK00IQA2m

They have a handful of songs on their, and I decided to give some a listen. The music style of the songs I tried out reminded me of the music on the NES game Maniac Mansion. I remember playing that game when I was younger and being obsessed with it.

I will say I think Thundersnow needs to be a little more hard rock with a name like that. Maybe someday, but I thought it was amusing and had to share.

I work in retail. My store sells mouse pads.

I have to try something like this. It would be so worth it.

  • I decided to have some fun at work recently. I work in retail, and we use spider wraps to secure some of our products. You have probably seen these even if you don’t work in retail. You may have purchased something where the cashier has to remove the security device before you can take it home.

The specific style I deal with at my work looks like this:

Well, I’ve made this joke off and on while working in retail that I think of a rapping spider when referring to spider wraps. I made the joke again when we were using them for some new product we got, and I suddenly realized with all the image generators that have become popular recently, that I could probably create an image of a spider rapping.

After a few attempts with the prompts, I ended up with an image that brought delight to my eyes. I then added the words ā€œSpider Rapsā€ and created a sign to put on the plastic bin we store them in. I can’t wait to see the reactions to my coworkers as they see this when going to grab a spider wrap or put one away. I can’t wait.

I now share the image with you. If you work in retail, feel free to borrow this for a good laugh at your store as well.

  • The Internet is going nuts after Smackdown went off the air. So much controversy. Going to be an interesting weekend. Curious to see what happens on Raw.

  • So, I stumbled across this band recently scrolling through TikTok. They refer to themselves as a techno marching band. I was intrigued with the clip I saw and music sounded pretty good. Decided to hop onto their YouTube channel and check out some of their songs. Really like the vibe they put out. Guess I found me a new band to listen to! Who would have thought I would be into a techno marching band?!

Chocolate Choo-Choo, I love this so much, every chocolate should be train shaped

I’m very curious to know what the chocolate tastes like.

  • I really hope Tumblr figures out Fediverse integration. It is one of the reasons I decided to start blogging on Tumblr. I would love for people to be able to follow my blog on Mastodon.

  • This has to be the most fascinating thing I have seen. Beeper has managed to create an app that allows people on Android to use iMessage. I guess having the correct color bubbles when messaging people on an iPhone is a big deal? Beyond the colors, at least it would allow for quality images and capability between Android and iPhone users.

The most interesting part of this app is it uses actual iMessage technology to work because someone managed to reverse engineer how iMessage works. That’s nuts.
