Month: June 2025

  • This post brought back some memories. mIRC is actually the first software I ever purchased as a teenager in the mid 90’s. I don’t remember who introduced me to IRC chatting, but I remember really being into mIRC scripting when I was in high school. I remember scripting a bunch of bots that I used in channels that I would participate in.

The post from the Internet Archive mentioned it was still being worked on. I checked out the mIRC website and sure enough, there have been a few releases in 2025 already. That is surprising to me since I don’t really hear about people hanging out in mIRC chatrooms anymore. Guess it is still a thing for some. That’s pretty awesome.

  • Hands down the best scene from the Barbie movie.

I laughed so hard at this I started crying.

  • I read this article and I am curious if the world really needs another version of A Christmas Carol. We already have a Muppets version, and that one is the best!

  • I don’t know why, but I always seem to go back to Firefox as my main web browser on my computers. I can’t exactly explain my reasoning for it either other than I guess it is just something that I’m very familiar with and enjoy how it runs on my machines.

I have an M4 Mac Mini and a custom built Windows gaming PC. I was primarily using Chrome or Edge depending on my mood. I started having some locking up issues with both Edge and Chrome on the Windows PC. Firefox doesn’t seem to lock up like those two keep doing, and I’m not even sure why they are locking up while I’m using the machine. They just hang for a bit and then it goes back to normal.

And since I just switched back to Firefox on my Windows machine, I decided to see how Firefox runs on a Mac. I’ve only had installed for a day, but I don’t really see anything amazing going on yet, but I might just stick with it because I prefer the UI of Firefox over Safari. Not that Safari is bad. Just one of those familiarity things for me.

  • Just got home from seeing the Lilo & Stitch live action movie. Was pretty good. Got me in the feels.

  • Karate Kid Legends was really good. It was pretty funny too. I laughed quite a bit.

  • Finally getting the chance to check out the new Karate Kid movie tonight. Looking forward to it!!

  • We need more of this! It’s time to reign in CEO pay in these massive corporations.

  • I decided to unsubscribe from an email newsletter I’ve been receiving for a few years because I haven’t read it in a long time when they come in. I click on unsubscribe and get to a site that tells me I will receive an email to confirm my decision.

I get that email and click on the link to confirm I am done with the newsletter. It then sends me to another page that tells me I won’t receive any more emails.

I immediately get another email telling me that they are sad to see me go.

Nothing like getting 2 more emails right while trying to tell a newsletter I don’t want anymore emails.
