The Blog Is Back In Town

If you have followed me for any period of time, you will know that I have this tendency to push out a blog, write in it for few months, forget about the blog, and end up taking it down because I couldn’t come up with any new content. Well, I am trying it again. Please hold your skepticism until after three months. If I can break the three-month barrier this time, I think I can make this work. If I seem to abandon the blog again after that time period, you are free to make any comments or insults you wish to make about the situation. I will accept them.

So, why am I bringing back my blog from the dead? Three reasons:

  1. I’ve started enjoying writing reviews of books again. I want a place of my own to publish my reviews. I still plan to push my reviews to sites like Amazon and Goodreads to help authors out, but I also enjoy having my own site to collect the various reviews that I write.
  2. I like publishing thoughts that I have from time to time on random topics of interest. While places like Facebook and Twitter also provide avenues for this, I prefer to push my content out on a site that I control. Plus, I can publish much larger writings on here than I can on a site like Twitter. This is my little chunk of the Internet.
  3. I couldn’t really think of a third reason that made much sense after writing that I had three reasons, so I’m leaving this here in the event that I figure out what the third one was supposed to be.

I don’t really have a theme for my blog. I never had. It is just a place to write out stuff that I’m interested in. I enjoy reading, so you will see posts on that. I also have interests in things like amusement parks, technology, and even professional wrestling. Don’t be surprised if a random post just appears on a random topic. I always get these weird thoughts on stuff out of nowhere and may even write about some of them.

I encourage you to follow the blog and see what I end up writing about. You can even create a betting pool on if this blog is around in four months or not. I’m sure my family and friends will set one up. Let me know if you are interested, and I will put you in touch with them.

On that note, I will leave you with a random picture of a river otter on a rock. I took this at the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, Utah of all places. They actually have two types of otters, and this little guy was enjoying the weather.
